Principal Civil & Structure Engineer C based in Shanghai

The principal engineer will take the lead role in coming complicated Architectural projects.

The role
The principal responsibilities of this post are to:
-Provide monitoring of the civil construction/structure works
-Monitor, review and report on the delivery of projects against the approved execution schedule.
-Assess the quality of work on site against the specification and the relevant Chinese standards.
-Prepare technical specifications for ground investigations and general civil/structure works
-Translate technical specifications and other documentation from design institutes, construction companies, other consultants including construction supervision companies.
-Review technical documents; calculations, specifications, reports and drawings against technical specifications and the relevant Chinese standards.


Candidate background:
Top quality academic background in structure and Civil engineering or related disciplines;
At least over 10 years of working experience in Architectural works;
Solid experience in famous local design institution and at least 2 years of working in foreign design firm/company;
Enough experience in large scale public (office) and commercial buildings;
High rise building experience is a plus;
Overseas academic and/or work experience is a plus
A blend of client oriented, self disciplined or motivated and good team player;
Likely to be managing a team and have sub P&L responsibility
