Our client is the main contractor for a highly prestigious track development in Australia.

They now have an urgent vacancy for a Test & Commissioning Manager for a 25km monorail project, with an emphasis of experience working with Asian contractors and a railway systems background.

Further details of the project are as follows:

• Support will be provided by 3 E&M engineers, a Construction Manager and a Program Manager
• The project is a Design & Build Turnkey project for a 25km monorail project, complete with civil structures, stations, vehicles and all systems.
• The work is primarily carried out by Japanese subcontractors, meaning experience working with Asian contractors is a pre-requisite.

Your duties will include:

• Coordination of the T&C activities carried out by the subcontractors i.e. management of the Inspection & Test Plan, T&C schedule, submission of test procedures and report, management of practical and safety arrangements around the testing (track access, safety procedures etc.)

The client needs to fill this role as soon as possible, as the project is due to commence in 3^rd quarter 2008. Your employment will be on a contract basis, with the target date for completion being April 2009.
