Our client, a large rail organisation, is looking to recruit a Buyer to their offices in Central London. You shall undertake and support market evaluation to source, tender and award contracts / framework agreements in accordance with procurement processes and procedures and undertake the preparation, issue and return of competitive tenders. You will establish effective business relationships with internal customers in order to provide excellent service provision. You will undertake maintenance of the procurement database recording of transaction values and volumes and associated data as well as undertaking and supporting negotiations over a wide range of commercial / contractual issues as and when required.

Critical experience:
� Commercial experience within an Engineering function
� Knowledge and experience covering the complete procurement lifecycle.
� Knowledge and experience of the supplier market and effective application of value for money solutions.
� Commercial awareness, business acumen and professional integrity.
� Proficiency in the use of IT applications e.g. MS Office
� Experience of dealing with Service contracts
