My Manchester based client are looking to recruit a Database Administrator (MySQL)

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of setting up and also maintaining MySQL databases on Linux servers, you must be able to understand the requirements/demands of current and future databases while recommending and implementing improvements as required.

The successful individual must also be able to maintain MYSQL Server Availability & Security, Space & File management, Backup Management, Ensure continued performance, Collect, Interpret and Provide Performance Metrics, Maintain Development & Test platforms, Job Monitoring, MYSQL Server Installation, general day to day problem solving, Error log monitoring, Support and installation of master / slave / clustered servers.
