Environmental Engineer: South East
Our client is a major Oil & Gas engineering contractor operating globally. A vacancy has arisen for a Environmental engineer to be located in their South East offices on a permanent basis. The role is to work in an off-project Core Group position supporting the conceptual, FEED and EPC phases of major onshore Oil and Gas projects.

Responsibilities include:
Identify the wastes & emissions from the plant
Propose mitigation measures for the design
Carry out dispersion calculations
Specify the liquid waste treatment plant
Prepare plans for solid waste segregation and disposal,Prepare landfill design,Prepare specification for waste incinerators & solid waste handling and disposal equipment.
Prepare Utility Flow Diagrams for Environmentally linked processes
Input to drainage plans
Prepare specifications on environmental aspects of purchased process equipment
Prepare Environmental design basis, ALARP demonstration & supervise preparation of ALARP sheets
Maintain Environment Hazard Register
Facilitate an ENVID
Supervise Emissions & Discharges report
Supervise Preliminary Spill Risk Identification
Prepare Cost & Risk summary report for ENV mitigations
Prepare Environmental design summary report
Identify Environmentally Critical Systems
Scope and administer local Environmental specialist
Direct Third party re:on site survey issues with respect to existing site waste streams and waste treatment and disposal facilities and performance.

Preferably you will guide the project on design matters to achieve regulatory compliance, often identifying & quantifying the emissions and wastes from projects, specifying plant design features & discharge limits to meet local, client, WHO and World Bank emission targets. Training in the use of AERMOD will be provided if necessary.


The successful candidate must hold a degree in environmental engineering or related subject and have worked in an engineering contractor background in Oil & Gas
