The Mechanical and Piping Department Manager is responsible for the technical aspects of the project, including engineering and design activities, and becomes the senior technical representative on the project team for the mechanical an piping department.
The Mechanical and Piping Department Manager is responsible to the Project Manager for implementing the Engineering Department�s procedures and standards in the project work of team personnel.
The duties of the Mechanical and Piping Department Manager include the following

Preparing the Design Basis for the project
Providing and maintaining technical standards and data for engineering and related technical work appropriate to the project.
Ensuring, along with the Department Managers, that the Discipline Lead Engineer/Discipline Technical Leads are following the standards and quality procedures as required by Company�s Quality Manual, QP-002
Monitoring the work of the engineering and design staff as necessary to ensure sound engineering practices and technical standards are being followed in carrying out their assignments and taking appropriate remedial action when necessary
Ensuring that the appropriate checking procedures are followed during the preparation of all engineering documents and calculation
Maintaining appropriate liaison between all of the Disciplines.
Informing the Project Manager of difficulties encountered on the project concerning the availability or quality of resources of technical staff or equipment.
Applicants must have prwevious FPSO,TLP's, Spars or fixed offshore facilities experience.
As this is a staff position applicants must be eligible to work in the USA.
