Principal Process Engineer � Permanent � North West � Secondary Pharmaceutical

Our client is one of the biggest Pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world and due to a major increase in production and workload a position has become available for a Principal Process Engineer to work at their North West based plant on a permanent basis.

You will be a degree qualified Chemical Engineer and have a proven track record in the Biotechnology sector or other related industry. You will have Biological/Pharmaceutical facility design experience and also have a strong knowledge and proven experience of the use of hazard studies.

The main duties of the role are to be responsible for the design basis for the facility and to make sure that the process design and equipment/system specifications are to GMP standards, to identify and implement process improvements across the site, to manage pre-order project activities, the commissioning and qualification preparation and execution, to deliver the maintenance appraisals for equipment and ensure the equipment is reviewed regularly for maintainability. You will also have an ongoing role in supporting safety, health and environmental studies through the design stages of the project.

You will be expected to undertake specific projects relating to the development of the site. You will also have a hand in Quality and Compliance, making sure that GMP standards are adhered to at all times. You will also be charged with managing the departmental/project budgets. You will be expected to continuously explore and identify new and improved processes in line with the site continuous improvement policies.
