My Clients are developing the strategy for Remote Monitoring (RM) of the Railway Infrastructure for which it is responsible and currently have a project to develop the standards for Remote Monitoring systems necessary to support the strategy. �The strategy includes making the data from Remote Monitoring systems more widely available within the business and to integrate the data from the various existing and future RM systems (that will be provided as the network is upgraded) to improve our understanding and knowledge of the infrastructure. �The RM standards are required to enable this to be achieved. �This project is being led by the Remote Monitoring team.

Additional expertise is required to support the remote monitoring team by providing technical guidance on the technologies associated with data integration of disparate remote monitoring systems and Ellipse. We therefore require an individual to work within the centralised Remote Monitoring team, to support this project. �The profile for the role is a System Engineer with experience of the application of data integration technologies, (e.g. OPC, XML, Web Service, MIM-OSA) preferably within a Factory / Industry / Process environment and relating to the application of Remote Monitoring.

The role will be required to work with the team and support the investigation of data integration technologies with respect to theRailway environment. �The role shall provide technical guidance to develop the detailed project programme for data integration. �The deliverable from the project will be a report and recommendation as to the technical solution should apply and specifications for future RM systems
The role will report to and work as directed by the Condition Monitoring Manager.
